There was no plan, no intention of what this should become — just the feeling of connecting with the brush, following my intuition and allowing the painting to reveal itself along the way.

Interestingly, many people see a bird in the painting — and, eventually, I saw it too. I love that it appeared without being planned. A bird feels like a beautiful symbol of freedom, movement and letting go, which somehow feels perfectly connected to the way this piece came to life.
